Members of belodged.com are now able (optional) to choose their interests and hobbies. For what? If user is looking for a free accommodation he/she is getting sometimes (for example in Germany, Berlin) a huge number of contacts. We implemented a sort algoritm who is taking care, that every contact will be shown as often as the other.

During the activation of chinese language we got a small error in the login procedure for about 60min. As we noticed the mistake the problem was solved right away.

Everything up and running again.

We are happy to announce that belodged.cmo is in chinese avaible too. Many thanks is going to Alice from Bejing.

We had many question from users, other webmasters and bloggers about how we can provide a banner or button for linking to belodged.com .

So we created a whole bannerset and some tipps and tricks for a better link exchange. Feel free to use them. The HTML code for sure can be modified like you want. Here some examples:

Additional we optimized the Balance Value (BV) System within the member area. Members who use a personalized link (you will find this next to the link exchange form (follow Member Navigation >> Community)) will now also increase there BV when a new member is coming from your link.

We just finished the technically implementation of the adress book. In your inbox (Member Menu >> Your Profil >> Messages) you are now able to add contacts into your adress book. This allows you in an easy way to remember contacts and add a personal note to each contact.

The personal note is only visible for yourself.

We are working right now to fix some problems for integrating the chinese languages.  We are sorry for error messages may appear.

French lanaguage was integrated but not official launched yet. We are still on going through the test protocols.

Proudly we like to inform you that we will finish the chinese setup within the next weeks. The content in the CMS is already finished. We are just waiting for the solution of some technical issues with special chinese characters.

At the moment we notice some problems with E-Mails going out to russian E-Mail Accounts. This means that some of our russian members to not get the “new message received” messages.

Our Mailserver is still located at one of the biggest german hosting companies. This company seems to be listed on some spam blacklists. In the next we will move the services to switzerland too.

Mail server move completed. At the moment we do not see any problems regarding SPAM

As noticed and discussed in the user forum we implemented after the “Reachability” function the “Reminder” today. These features will help to get rid off inactive user accounts. Remember: For belodged.com it’s not important having as much members as possible (and thousand of dead accounts) but a really “vital” community.

More work will follow up to improve the quality of this travel portal. We will keep you up to date.
