Message System for Russia

Monday, May 19th, 2008

At the moment we notice some problems with E-Mails going out to russian E-Mail Accounts. This means that some of our russian members to not get the “new message received” messages.

Our Mailserver is still located at one of the biggest german hosting companies. This company seems to be listed on some spam blacklists. In the next we will move the services to switzerland too.

We will keep you up to date!

[UPDATE 22 of July]
Mail server move completed. At the moment we do not see any problems regarding SPAM

[SOLVED] Search for accommodations

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

Solved: The problem is solved. You can use the full text search again.

problem: As we noticed already in December. The search for accommodations gives - lets say it this way - not the best results at the moment. We still having some problems implenting the old data before the relaunch. Please use in the meanwhile the search over the maps. This is the best way. We hope we will solve the problems until next week. Thank you!

[SOLVED] belodged.com Downtime planned

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

As it was mentioned in the news on belodged.com since one week:

Today we will switch the complete hosting environment from Germany to Switzerland. Why? EveryWare AG in Zurich will support the project by taking over the whole hosting and security maintenance for the project (web server and database server).

What does that mean for you? Nothing really important ;o). Just that we take care on your privacy and guarantee the stability of the website also in the future.
For switching the environment the website will be offline for about 30minutes. This will take place today from 2pm - 2:30pm CET.

thank you for your support
The Tec Team

UPDATE 02:55pm

  • Downtime changed to 3:00pm until 03:40pm
  • Reason: network issue

SOLVED 03:42

  • Website up and running again
  • some users may get “Document not found” messages:
    • Reason: this will happen if your IT is still caching the old DNS entry; means the url www.belodged.com points for you still to the old IP Adresse ABC and not to the new XYZ
    • short solution: please restart from www.belodged.com you will redirect to the new server;
    • long time solution: normally it takes 3minutes up to 2 or 48 hours until you will get XYZ instead of ABC => contact your local IT to fix that
  • please report your issue if something is going wrong

Dreamweaver Crash & New Function

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

Arghhh - today we want to launch the full text search. But yesterday we made the error installing Adobe updates. Never do this! Now dreamwever was crashing during start up. This took hours.

But finally we have the fulltext search for accommodations (cities) implemented. We are waiting for the english translation. (My english is too bad to shown up on belodged.com). So the search should be online tomorrow.

What we will do more today? We will take a look through the bugs, which where mentoined during the testing process as a “suggestion”. There are about 30 of such “friendly bugs”. Here a small screenshot:
