Credibility and behavior
First: Every time it’s possible we repeat: important is not the amounth of users. Important is the agility of a community- here: the user of belodged.com - free accommodations.
Second: You can contact others through the anonymous messaging system. You decide on the profile to whom you send a message. To give you a small help - everybody can extend his profile with a lot of information. But will you get an answer?
With a new profile feature we will go ahead with this two facts. By looking on somebodies profile you will see the “unread messages” of the user and the “answer level”. This will give you an idea of … of what? Call it “credibility” or “chance to get an answer”.
Answer level: For sure you can not have something like 100%! This would mean a) you got no messages b) you answering to every message (which is not usefully - if you think about ;o) So we set up three levels:
- not good (<20%)
- good(<40%)
- “crackjack” (>40%) (like very very very good)
We do not know if these levels are set right. We will monitor this and change from time to time.
