    Absence - Function implemented

    January 31st, 2008

As discussed in the member forum and requested by our users we implemented an “absence function”. This means: You can deactivate your account for a limited time frame (holiday, ill, not reachable etc.) . Result: In the search for accommodations you will show up as “away” and user do not try to contact you for nothing.

Something about the search for an accommodation

    January 15th, 2008

Every CITY and REGION you can find in the database was written by a belodged.com user. This means when you look for “Rio” and you find as a result:

    Country: USA
    Region: Bavaria
    City: Rio de Janerio

our programmers didnt drank to much ;o). A user was given us this information about his accommodation during the registration or modification process. What can we do against this? Not much … It’s on you - the community. Please inform the user via the messaging system about his small mistake. For sure you can contact us too. But we will contact the user again - so its faster when you do it ,o).

In the future we will implement a small monitoring system. But if the community is growing up like it’s doing right now so fast … its on you ;o).

    Further Languages

    January 15th, 2008

Just a small update: We are happy to inform that we are just infront of finishing the spanish and french translations! Brigitt from Switzerland and Elia from Spain (now in Dublin) are working with us together. A warm welcome!

    [SOLVED] Search for accommodations

    January 15th, 2008

Solved: The problem is solved. You can use the full text search again.

problem: As we noticed already in December. The search for accommodations gives - lets say it this way - not the best results at the moment. We still having some problems implenting the old data before the relaunch. Please use in the meanwhile the search over the maps. This is the best way. We hope we will solve the problems until next week. Thank you!
