The Kingdom of Bhutan is a nation in South Asia, located at the eastern end of the Himalaya Mountains and is bordered to the south, east and west by the Republic of India and to the north by People’s Republic of China. Bhutan is divided into 4 dzongdey (administrative zones: Eastern, Southern, Central and Western). Each dzongdey is further divided into dzongkhag (districts). There are 20 dzongkhag in Bhutan. Large dzongkhags are further divided into subdistricts known as dungkhag.

Departments and communes of Benin

Officially the Republic of Benin is a country in West Africa. It borders Togo to the west, Nigeria to the east and Burkina Faso and Niger to the north.

Benin is divided into 12 departments (French: départements), and subdivided into 77 communes. In 1999, the previous six departments were each split into two halves, forming the current 12. The six new departments have not been assigned an official capital yet.

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1 of the 2 political entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (the other being the Republika Srpska) has 10 cantons or counties as the second-level units of local autonomy.

    I have Bhutan on my travel wishlist for quite a while now. For me this country somehow always had a mysterious aura. But being located in Europe I haven’t made it even to Bosnia. :-) And where in the world is Benin? I really had to look it up. Maybe you should link the country names to their corresponding wikipedia entries. Regards, Marco
